Kyzen's Mike Bixenman to moderate APEX technical session
Feb 06, 2006
Kyzen Corporation has announced that Mike Bixenman, Chief Technology Officer, will moderate a technical conference session on cleanliness at the upcoming APEX 2006 trade show and exhibition, scheduled to take place February 8 to 10, 2006, in Anaheim, Calif. Lead-free's biggest impacts are often associated with materials changes and the soldering process. However, the mandated changes affect much more than those two sections of the assembly process. WEEE and RoHS legislation have created a "ripple" effect throughout the electronics industry, touching all parts of the product realization process. This session, which will be presented on Wednesday, February 8, 2006, from 1:30 until 3 p.m., addresses potential impacts on board cleanliness brought on by mandated changes. Topics covered during the session include the following: -- A Comparison of Lead-Free Assembly Defluxing Processes -- Lead-Free - Is any Impact on Cleaning Prior to Conformal Coating Anticipated? -- Applied Research for Optimizing Process Parameters for Cleaning Lead-Free Flux Residue. This topic is co-authored by Mike Bixenman and will be presented by Dirk Ellis of Speedline Technologies Electrovert.
