Agilent introduces new oscilloscope

Feb 16, 2006

Agilent Technologies Inc. has announced the Agilent Infiniium 80000B Series with superior signal integrity and probing, redefining signal integrity performance and investment protection for multi-gigahertz-bandwidth oscilloscopes.

The 80000B Series is the industry's lowest-noise oscilloscope and is the industry's only bandwidth-upgradeable series.

"Agilent not only delivers industry-leading oscilloscope performance, but also uses its extensive technology base to provide superior signal integrity and probing and analysis software for the designer's specific application," said David Churchill, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Design Validation Division. "In addition, Agilent is redefining the investment paradigm for multi-gigahertz oscilloscopes by offering the industry's only bandwidth-upgradeable series of oscilloscopes."

Agilent's award-winning Infiniium oscilloscopes have been further enhanced via the addition of a touch-screen, an XGA resolution display, a front-panel USB port, and a higher-performance CPU system for even faster display and measurement execution.

The Infiniium 80000B Series incorporates next-generation MegaZoom technology pioneered in Agilent's recently announced Infiniium 8000A Series and the Agilent 6000A Series oscilloscopes. MegaZoom's 256 levels of intensity grading clearly identifies waveform anomalies that were previously invisible with earlier-model oscilloscopes. MegaZoom is always active and is not a limited oscilloscope mode.
