Lite-On begins shipping OT 320 for Alcatel, sources say

Lite-On Technology has begun shipping its first handset manufactured for Alcatel, the OT320, according to sources.The OT 320 does not have a color display and is intended to target the low-end market. It is estimated that monthly shipments are about 100,000 units, sources added. According to Alcatel, the handset will not be marketed in Taiwan.Alcatel said it will launch four new color handsets beginning from the third quarter. According to the company, the OT 332 will support SMS (short messaging service), EMS (enhanced messaging service), WAP (wireless application protocol) and polyphonic ringtones. The OT 531 will be a GPRS handset. The OT 535 will be Alcatel’s first handset supporting MMS (multimedia messaging service). The OT 735, targeting the high-end market, will sport a built-in digital still camera (DSC) and MMS capability.Source: DigiTimes
