Jan 05, 2006

High Tech Computer (HTC) is expected to record revenues of NT$114 billion (US$3.5 billion) in 2006, up from the NT$73.6 billion (US$2.3 billion) estimated for 2005, according to a January 4 report in the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN), quoting Johnny Chan, an analyst at JP Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific).

Chan also predicted that HTC's net EPS (earnings per share) for 2006 is expected to climb to NT$55.9 (US$1.74), from the NT$33.5 (US$1.04) projected for 2005, according to EDN.

For the first quarter of this year, HTC's revenues are likely to reach NT$24.9 billion (US$756 million), down from the NT$28.4 billion (US$885 million) estimated for the fourth quarter of 2005 but a sharp increase from the NT$13.3 billion (US$415 million) it recorded in the first quarter a year earlier, Chan was quoted as saying.
