December revenues down for Taiwan's top-four digital camera makers

Premier Image Technology, Altek, Asia Optical and Ability Enterprise, the top four OEM makers of digital cameras in Taiwan, witnessed their consolidated revenues last month slide 25.5%, 60%, 21%, and 26%, respectively, from the preceding month. Premier Image will ship 13-15 million digital cameras this year, institutional investors in the local bourse predict. Ability Enterprise delivered 1.51 million digital cameras last quarter, and is expected to deliver 1.2 million this quarter and 6.0 million this year, the investors indicated. source: DigiTimes
