AVX launches series of military and aerospace-specific parts

Jan 20, 2006

AVX Corporation, a leading manufacturer of passive components, has developed an Automotive Plus Series (APS) of parts that has been qualified to the Automotive AEC-Q200 standard, but manufactured and quality assurance-tested specifically for the high reliability requirements of the military and aerospace industry.

The new series features the industry-preferred Base Metal Electrode System (BME) for X7R ceramic.  Base Metal Technology has excellent field reliability and the BME system allows AVX Corporation to deliver a more cost-effective solution to customers.

Each APS production batch is shipped with a certificate of conformance. On a quarterly basis a reliability package is available to all APS customers.

APS parts are qualified and manufactured in accordance with automotive AEC-Q200 standards and all manufacturing facilities of APS parts are QS9000 and VDA 6.4 approved.
