Market-oriented conference program for electronica & ProductronicaChina 2006
Jan 24, 2006
The conference program for electronica & ProductronicaChina 2006, taking place from 21 - 23 March 2006 in Shanghai promises to offer an overview of the competitive situation in China, first-hand market-oriented and technological expertise, and the opportunity to build a network of valuable personal contacts. The spectrum of the accompanying program ranges from information and network platforms to IC design for mobile technologies, display technologies and automotive electronics and continues all the way to the "China Electronics Summit." In the "China Electronics Summit," CEOs from leading companies in the electronics industry will be talking with high-ranking representatives from the Chinese government about the opportunities that the Chinese market presents, about the basic economic conditions and about the requirements that the industry has for China's public authorities. Participants include, among others, China's Ministry of Information Industry and companies such as Tyco Electronics, Infineon and Komax. This executive discussion forum is being moderated by Derek Lidow, president and CEO of the market research company iSuppli. 3G and digital television are the main themes of the "2006 Senior Seminar on IC Design and Application of Mobile Communications." This demanding seminar for developers and technical managers will concentrate on such aspects as the challenges in the design and testing process for ICs and equipment for mobile telecommunications, for technologies such as Ethernet, WiMAX or WLAN, and for applications such as mobile television. The "Flat Information Display Conference (FID) China - Display Technologies," which is organized by the market research company iSuppli, has been established for years now as an event accompanying electronica & ProductronicaChina. On March 21st and 22nd, 2006, the technologies and market developments in the area of flat screens will again be the focus of the conference. The symposium entitled "The Trends and Future Requirements in Automotive Electronics" will examine all the trends that are currently in the focus of the market for automotive electronics - beginning with the interdisciplinary trends in the development of automotive electronics, continuing on to aspects of environmental protection and safety and reaching all the way to special technologies for hybrid vehicles or from cars driven by fuel cells. In cooperation with "Electronic Products China," Messe München International is organizing the "2006 Portable Consumer Electronics Seminar" on March 22nd. The seminar provides comprehensive information on state-of-the-art processors, storage media and power supplies for handheld devices such as cellular phones, PDAs or MP3 players as well as transmission technologies (such as Bluetooth and WiMAX), interface technologies (such as USB or IEEE1394), digital audio and video, display technologies and media streaming. Bearing the subtitle "Emerging processor/IP core, FPGA and embedded RTOS," the "Spring Microprocessor Forum" for electronica & ProductronicaChina 2006 will be taking place on March 23rd. Everything in this one-day forum will focus on microprocessors and embedded systems and on designing them for applications in Internet-based telecommunications and in electronics for consumer devices, industry, and automobiles, as well as in wireless networks. On the same days as electronica & ProductronicaChina 2006, "LASER. World of Photonics China" - which is celebrating its premiere this year as a trade show for optical technologies with its own conference program - is also taking place. As an integral part of electronica & ProductronicaChina, PCIM China will also be held again this year for the main topic of power electronics. As in the previous years, the conference program for PCIM (Power Electronic Intelligent Motion) China will be rounding off the power electronics exhibition area. During this same period, the fair grounds will also be hosting the Semicon China event.
