Teradyne divisions pick up APEX Service awards

For the second consecutive year, two Teradyne divisions, Assembly Test Division (ATD) and Teradyne Connection Systems (TCS), are recipients of the 2003 Service Excellence Awards presented at APEX. Teradyne Connection Systems was the overall winner in the Electronics Manufacturing Services Providers category for medium-sized companies (revenues between $100 and $500 million). Teradyne's Assembly Test Division received an award in the Electronics Assembly Equipment Suppliers category for electronic assembly equipment. "We are very excited to receive this award because it is based on direct input from our customers," said Bill Doherty, Teradyne Connection Systems' EMS unit manager. "Achieving the overall award is particularly important because in today's environment, EMS providers must excel in every category in order to meet customer expectations." "This award is evidence of the determination of our global support team to significantly differentiate Teradyne from the competition by providing the highest-level of value-added services in the industry," added Michael Gildea, manager of North American Support Services for Teradyne's Assembly Test Division.
