DSC makers Ability Enterprise, Altek hit record revenues for September

Ability Enterprise and Altek, two of the top four manufacturers of digital still cameras (DSCs) in Taiwan, generated record monthly consolidated revenues of NT$2.520 billion (US$377 million) and NT$1.975 billion (US$59 million), respectively, in September, according to the two companies. Ability Enterprise also recorded its largest monthly shipment volume of 511,000 DSCs last month. The company shipped 2.77 million DSCs during January-September of this year and expects 2005 shipment volume to exceed its goal of 4.0 million DSCs.
