Adeon Technologies B.V. has announced the sale of a KLG Speedstar 1 drilling machine to Epigem, from Redcar, United Kingdom.
The Speedstar 1 is a result of KLG latest developments, especially designed for extremely fast and accurate drilling into PCBs and other materials. Due to the use of highly accurate linear drives and scales and a new design of X,Y table, the system has proven to be the fastest CNC drilling/routing solution available today.
Phil Summersgill, Microfluidics Manager of Epigem added, "As a leading edge player in polymer product engineering, Epigem is facing the challenge of having to drill and rout through a range of different materials extremely accurately. We believe that after benchmarking, the KLG Speedstar will bring us just that with an additional advantage of the great versatility the Speedstar has to offer."
Andre Bodegom, Sales Director, Adeon added, "We are truly delighted to be selected as a partner by a company like Epigem who are at the forefront of technology in microfabrication. We believe we have a winning technology with the KLG Speedstar, which contributes to success in a European market at attractive prices, which sees an ever growing demand for leaner ways of manufacturing. The fact that the KLG Speedstar which has been developed for the Printed Circuit Board manufacturing industry, can be utilised in adjacent industries proves KLG's ability for versatility."
