Aug 18, 2005
Merix Corporation (Nasdaq:MERX) announced the promotion of Daniel T. Olson to Chief Executive Officer of Merix' Asian operations. Olson, formerly Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, has been with Merix since October 1999. Olson came to Merix following senior sales management roles at MacDermid, Inc. and Olin Corporation. "Dan's leadership and strategic focus at Merix, together with his prior broad based experience in the printed circuit board industry, gives him the insight necessary for seamless support of our global customers and integration of our pending acquisition of the operations of Eastern Pacific Circuits Limited," stated Mark Hollinger, Chairman and CEO of Merix. Thomas R. Ingham has been promoted to Vice President of the Sales and Marketing organization headquartered in Forest Grove, Oregon, to replace Olson. Ingham, who joined Merix in February of 2005 as Director of Quick-Turn Sales, has over 25 years experience in the industry including over eight years at Dynamic Details, Inc. "Tom is an ideal successor for this position," commented Dan Olson. "With his diverse experience in the industry and his strong leadership abilities, Tom is well suited to lead our efforts to expand our customer base and exceed their expectations." These promotions will be effective August 22, 2005, and both Olson and Ingham will report to Hollinger in their new roles.
