New heat bonder and soldering machine for flex

Mar 28, 2003

Pulse technology provides accuracyThe PCB Assembly Equipment division of Fancort Industries has introduced a line of machines for pulse heat bonding and soldering, primarily of flex circuits. The machines have a variety of applications including Heat seal connectors to LCD and PCB and flex, TAB, edge connectors and ribbon cables to PCB.The machines are designed with microprocessor controls to produce a precise and consistent temperature control for the full profile that is required for each application. The pulsed heat thermode offers a uniform distribution of heat with rapid heat up and cool-down and temperature profiles are flexible and programmable. Two machines are available; one with a linear shuttle and the other with a rotary table with two work positions so the operator can be loading new work while the other is being bonded. Optional video systems are available for alignment and Fancort can supply fixtures and thermodes for all applications.
