Mar 27, 2003
At IPC Expo this week, Mania announce the launch of the Speedy 580, the latest addition to the successful Speedy family. With a 30% speed improvement, a stretching frame for thin core and inner layer applications, and a new adjustable Spring Probe technique, meaning that pad marking is almost non-existent.The software features user-friendly tool bars, pre-defined test parameters, ‘step and repeat’ and new Discharge test strategy and algorithms. The ‘Test Floor Integration’ function seamlessly integrates the Speedy 580 with other test equipment in the test department. Boards previously tested on any major Universal Grid Tester can be verified for repair or re-tested on the Speedy 580. Joe Garcia, Flying Probe Product Manager at Mania, says: "Test Floor Integration is a paradigm shift in the test department. Our TFI suite optimizes utilization of grid testers by allowing flying probe testers to validate the doubtful shorts or opens off-line."The Speedy 580 is designed for improved throughput. With its new probe technology, new test electronics and new test strategies and algorithms it reaches speeds of up to 1500 tp/s. Speedy 580 is one of the most efficient ROI, therefore brings to the user the competitiveness in a nowadays global market. The stretching frame, a standard feature, brings even faster set-up times, either for thin or standard cores."Since its inception, the Speedy totally revolutionized probe testing and became the most popular and widely used probe testers in the world. The Speedy 580 uses essentially the same proven mechanics as the Speedy/Pegasus, but with brand new software and electronics. The result is a high-tech product with field-proven reliability."
